Our F1- F2 (first and second generation) Olive Eggers are a cross of our French Black Copper Marans or Ameraucana roosters and our Ameraucana, Welsummer, Marans, Cream Legbar, and Olive Egger ladies.
Our Ameraucanas are both blue and splash and lay beautiful blue eggs. Our Legbar ladies lay a beautiful blueish green egg that are just a shade different from the Ameraucanas. There will be a great variety in the shades of color you will get in these eggs because Ameraucanas and Legbars both contain two blue genes, so when crossed with a Marans, who has two brown genes, the offspring will produce a beautiful olive shade. Our Marans and Welsummers lay a beautiful speckled egg as well, so there is also a chance for speckles on your olive eggs! These mixes make egg collecting so much fun because you never know what you are going to get.
