POLLINATORS – MAY 23, 2019 – 9:00AM – 12:00PM (snack is included)
In our first class of the summer, come learn all about pollinators. From bees to hummingbirds to butterflies, we will learn why these helpers are so important and why it is so important for us to help them in return. We will slow down, right here in our backyard, to inspect flowers of various kinds and watch closely as the rhythm of pollination takes place. We will see how flowers attract pollinators, which pollinators they attract, and learn why these creatures visit the flowers to begin with and why that is important to us. We will also spend time playing games, and we will plant pollinator gardens to take home for attracting these beneficial creatures to our own backyards. Homeschoolers, this is a great class to jump off a nature study on pollinators for the summer. We will be just getting the smallest taste of something so big, so come be inspired and continue learning this summer in your own back yard.
There are 14 spots left available for this class. This class is limited to 20 participants and is $20 per wild child.
